Confusing Hungriness for Loneliness

Human beings are a social creature. People need people. And prolonged isolation from others can result in loneliness--a survival mechanism put in place to ensure we seek out others in order to keep the species going. But, where emotional eaters are concerned, loneliness can often be confused for hunger. Or, put another way, physical hunger can often be confused for emotional hunger.
