Overeating As a Form of Punishment

Emotional eaters use overeating to achieve different ends. Some overeat as a way to reward themselves, while others overeat to combat stressful emotions like loneliness or depression. One end, though, not often addressed, is overeating as a form of punishment. Today, I'm providing a simple checklist. One that will enable you to see if you're falling into this trap, and also provide a starting point to eliminating the destructive habit if you are.
