Avoiding fat is not the key to a healthy diet. Or so says a professor at Brown University. The professor's comments come on the back of the observation that, ironically, America got even fatter over the fat-free food boom of the last forty-years.

The health industry at the time declared Americans should eat more carbs and avoid fat wherever possible. Our shopping aisles subsequently became flooded with non-fat this and low-fat that as millions of us scrambled to avoid the so called "fat trap."
